From commercial shopping centres to North Bay's lively Downtown core and stunning Waterfront Park, there are endless things to see and do during your stay.
The city is also located between Lake Nipissing and Trout Lake which provide water skiing, wakeboarding, windsurfing, fishing, swimming, boating and canoeing/kayaking in the summer months to ice fishing and snowmobiling in winter months. Directly connected to the Downtown core, North Bay's Waterfront Park is the city's popular beach access point and is home to the Heritage Railway & Carousel Company, Fun Rentals, the Chief Commanda II, The Boat - Dockside Bar & Grill, the Heritage Gardens, and the Kate Pace Way. The community is also surrounded by endless multi-use trails, parks and beach access points.
In town you'll discover a number of historical museums that each tell a story that has shaped North Bay as a vibrant and unique city. The Discovery North Bay Museum is located in a former CP Railway Station exhibits a variety of topics including North Bay's historical importance as a transportation hub. The Dionne Quints Museum is housed in the former Dionne home and leads visitors through the dramatic story of the world's miracle babies and how thousands flocked to North Bay during the Great Depression. In addition, the Canadian Forces Museum of Aerospace Defence showcases exhibits that describe the evolution of air defence and the contributions that Canadians have made throughout history.
